"Never Give Up"
Corral & Wolf Face Tough  2011Season
Dale
The rifle elk hunters from both the Corral and Wolf Creek camps saw what elk hunting can really be about. This year we harvested four bulls and two cows with clients for an all time 27% record low. The guides hunted late and were 100% successful all on cow elk. You may ask why? This season saw more hunters in some areas due to new accesses and nice weather causing large groups of resident elk to hit the flats on to private lands to seek refuge, approximately 800-1000 head. The smaller groups of elk who stayed were very slick and feed was plentiful in the heavy wooded and hard to get to areas. Wolves have made many of the elk more keen to being hunted and as a result low success for the average hunter. Needless to say elk numbers seemed to be lower than past years but still are in good shape as the later part of this season showed to be good with the migrating elk getting in as the weather is now here. The peaks and valleys are had by all.

East Fork Camp Pulls Off High Success
HowieMontana has seen a rough year with deer numbers at some of the lowest numbers we have ever seen. Talking to many sportsman and ranch owners the deer are being lost to high predator numbers and a rough last years winter, also possible blue tongue in some areas. Our Central Montana camp East Fork, has been no exception. Due to lower bookings this season Howie and the crew managed to pull off a normal high success once again. We do expect to see deer numbers rebound as this can be a normal cycle. As always we do not hunt the does from this camp and this season the number of bucks harvested was much lower due to fewer hunters during the general season. Next year we will plan to cut numbers of bucks harvested during the archery season and possibly in the general rifle season also. We plan to ride out the storm and manage this camp as always.
"Do What You Belive In"
wolf creek"It's not the critic who counts, nor the observer who watches from a safe distance. Wealth is created only by doers in the arena who are marred with dirt, dust, blood and sweat. These are the producers who strike out on their own, who know high highs and low lows, great devotions, and who overextend themselves for worthwhile causes. Without exception, then fail more than they succeed and appreciate this reality even before venturing out on their own. But when these producers fail, they at least fail with style and grace , and their gut soon recognizes that failure is only a resting place, not a place to spend a lifetime. Their places will never be with those nameless souls who know neither victory nor defeat, who receive weekly paychecks regardless of their week's performance, who are hired hands in the labor of someone else's garden. Those doers are producers and no matter what their lot is at any given moment, they'll never take place beside the takers, for theirs is a unique place, under the sun. They are entrepreneurs."

Once again thanks again for your support and interest in our fine company. With out all of you all our dreams would not become reality.
Sincerely,
