Preference Points For The Non-Resident
We're all happy about this one. FWP has past the preference point rule in effect immediately. For the Non-resident hunter this is a huge way to be sure of getting a license for the 2012 season. The point will be available on line and will sell until September. The cost is $50 and will be able to be used for the next season drawing. If you plan to hunt Montana next year I recommend you buy this point now.

Big Sky's Local Legend
Southwest Montana is host to many outdoor activities and the fishing is big fun. I highly recommend a full or half day walk wade trip on the Gallatin River while your in the Big Sky area. This local legend is full of nice rainbow trout and brown trout, and this free stone beauty is fishing awesome. Another local Big Sky legend is "Super Dave" at East Slope Outdoors. Dave and his crew are all Big Sky locals and know the Gallatin River through out the canyon well. If you need a guide or just some information to get you hooked up, stop into Supers Orvis Endorsed full service Fly Shop. Next to the Hardware store near the Big Sky entrance. East Slope Outdoors

S&W Donates to Big Sky
This July we donated to the Big Sky Community Corporation. This organization is responsible for many great recreation projects in the big sky area, including our trails and parks, the new baseball and soccer fields, skate park, and hopefully funding for the newly completed tennis courts. The winner is off to Helena, MT. to the "Land of the Giants" for two full days of catching big Rainbow Trout next spring. Each year S&W Outfitters donates to different organizations to help give back. SCI, RMEF, BSCC, Ducks Unlimited, MOGA, and Big Hearts under the Big Sky are some of the organizations we have helped.
